Our friend, Wardah Hafidz is to receive Gwangju Human Rights Award!

The Gwangju Award was established to commemorate the spirit of May –Do you remember 1980s massacre there?– through finding and awarding individuals and groups who have contributed to human rights and peace for all humankind. Gwangju received help in its struggle for democratization and the search for the truth of May 18 Democratic Uprising. Therefore, through the Gwangju Award it hopes to spread the spirit of May and send message of solidarity.

HIC congratulates Wardah Hafidz, UPC, LOCOA and ACHR! It’s a great reward and challenge to see how housing and land rights are built from the people-centred approach with the accurate technical advice.
