Argentina is living a moment of strong hope-filled tone, in contrast with previous years. Nevertheless, the country’s situation is complex and critical, with high unemployment, and enormous lack of satisfaction of basic needs. There are incipient but vigorous popular movements, supported by technical experts contributing their work from a perspective of openness and innovation, are opening spaces of a social and alternative economy.
