An invitation to participate at the Cities and Rooftops of Cameroon Fair organized by CODAS Caritas Douala

Le Salon Villes et Toits du Cameroun (The Cities and Rooftops of Cameroon Fair), especially the third edition, promotes achievements at the national and international level. It also aims to create synergy between various stakeholders around the challenges they experience when working to improve living conditions in human settlements that are popular neighbourhoods or also called “precarious neighbourhoods”.

Le Salon Villes et Toits du Cameroun is a forum for the enhancement of the potential of working-class neighbourhoods. In our cities, we have precarious neighbourhoods and these neighbourhoods are the object of forced evictions because of their precariousness, and it is the moment for us, actors who work on these issues, to come and reflect with these actors, with these populations and the decision-makers, on the best means, the best methods, to be able to improve the living conditions of inhabitants in these neighbourhoods, without however violating their rights.

The event will take place on 28 and 29 October, as a prelude to the celebration of World Cities Day and it will be held in Douala, the economic capital of Cameroon, a country in Central Africa, but also open to the online public.
